Here’s Who Vegas Likes In The 2017 Final Four

After all the drama, star performances, incredible comebacks, heartbreaking defeats and, of course, plenty of bracket busting, the NCAA Tournament is finally down to its Final Four competitors.

South Carolina Vs. Gonzaga

On Saturday, seventh seed South Carolina takes on one seed Gonzaga. Few people outside of the state of South Carolina had the Gamecocks in their Final Four, but South Carolina is out to prove the SEC is more than just a football conference. The Gamecocks are certainly the biggest underdog remaining, having lost five of their final seven games of the season heading into the tournament.

Gonzaga is making its first appearance in the Final Four, but the team has been close plenty of times before. Under Coach Mark Few, Gonzaga has reached the Sweet 16 eight times since 1999.

North Carolina Vs. Oregon

The second quarterfinal matchup pits the Oregon Ducks against the North Carolina Tar Heels. Oregon’s Tyler Dorsey has been the leading scorer in the tournament up to this point, carrying the Ducks to their first Final Four appearance since 1939.

North Carolina has revenge on its mind after suffering a tough three-point loss to Villanova in last year’s tournament championship game. This year will mark North Carolina’s sixth Final Four appearance since 2000.

Who Ya Got?

After North Carolina’s near miss last year and its dominant performance this season as well, it’s no surprise that nearly half (46 percent) of Twitter users that responded to Benzinga’s Final Four poll picked North Carolina to win it all. The rest of the pack each received between 16 and 20 percent of the total votes.
