There is no better entertainment for me that watching CNBC on a day like today. The Dow dropped 326 points, and all of the crazies are coming out of the woodwork and shrieking about how much more the market will drop in the coming weeks. Of course my account took a big hit today, and I’m sure I’m not alone. But the wonderful thing about maintaining perspective and seeing the big picture is that I’m not worried about what the market does on a day-to-day or week-to-week basis. Hopefully the market bounces back quickly, and this is just a temporary healthy pullback. But if the market continues to drop, great! I have planned for that scenario, I have plenty of free cash available, and I have a shopping list of good stocks that I’m prepared to buy if their prices get dragged down along with the overall market. In the meantime, I will continue to enjoy watching the drama queens fret. It’s the best reality show on TV!
