Nearly a month after the release of Apple Inc. AAPL 0.01%‘s brand new smartwatch product line, Apple Watch owners will soon be getting their first software and hardware updates.
According to 9to5mac.com, a proven Apple source has indicated that the updates will address a range of aspects, including security, health and fitness features, third-party app integration and Apple TV connectivity.
Find My Watch
Apple Watch security has been a major concern for many potential buyers, and one part of the new update,“Find my Watch,” could ease some of the Apple Watch security fears.
According to the source, the feature will allow users to track their watch’s location at all times and remotely wipe the device if it is lost or stolen. The feature is analogous to the Find my iPhone and Find my Mac features for Apple’s other devices.
