Amazon’s Toy List: What Do Kids Want For Christmas (Besides Star Wars)?

Amazon.com, Inc. AMZN 1.07% has released its 2016 Holiday Toys list, which includes more than 1,000 of the top toys and products for kids this holiday season. The online retail giant will be running daily deals on all of the toys on the list.

On Thursday, Amazon toy experts released a list of some of the top toy trends this year. Of course, Star Wars is expected to dominate kids’ wish lists this year, but Amazon expects the following trends to be hot as well:

 

  • Technology: A new wave of toys with mobile app connectivity has hit the shelves in time for this holiday season (Cozmo by Anki, Ravensburger Space Hawk Starter Set).
  • Craft & Create: Toys that encourage kids to build and be creative are always popular (Thames & Kosmos Crystal Growing, Poppit Playset Bakery, Scientific Explorer Young Architect City Planner Set).
  • STEM: Science, technology, engineering and Math (STEM) toys are as popular with kids as they are with parents (Osmos Genius Kit, Fisher-Price Think & Learn Code-a-Pillar).
