For the first time in 108 years, the Chicago Cubs are World Series champions. Social media was buzzing throughout the dramatic game seven and into the all-night celebration for the Cubs and their fans. Here’s a look at eight of the best tweets.

While Cubs and Indians fans were on the edge of their seats during an unpredictable bank-and-forth game, other sports fans were making light of the drama.

When 39-year-old Cubs catcher David Ross, who was playing in the final game of his career, homered off of Indians relieved Andrew Miller, fans couldn’t help themselves.

As Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green pointed out, the Indians weren’t the first professional sports team to blow a 3-1 lead in a best-of-seven championship series this year.

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James gave meme artists plenty of inspiration as well with his spirited cheering throughout the game.
