Apple Inc. AAPL 0.66% enthusiasts far and wide will be watching the company’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) this week for the latest news on Apple innovation.
Here’s a breakdown of six new-worthy developments that could come out of this week’s event.
Smart Home Product Update
Just last week, five different device makers announced new products that will be integrated into Apple’s home automation initiative. The new devices will allow iPhone, iPad or iPod touch users to control a range of home appliances remotely, including fans, thermostats and lighting. WWDC could provide updates on smart home technology or more apps/gadgets that could be coming in the near future.
iOS 9
Apple typically previews new operating systems at WWDC, and this year’s conference could bring a demo of iOS 9. iOS 9 is rumored to include a new management feature called “Proactive,” which will replace Spotlight Search and provide users with a new interface and a richer set of search features.
